Any number of panted persons m this- world look upon females as mere toys with whom to spend a transient hour, trusting to luck as to after results. An order was granted by the Court, but Bushell proved himself to be a damned rotter ; he didn't keep up his payments, and, to add insult ta injury, he courted another young woman, who reciprocated his dirty affections. Whether she was aware of his previous disastrous canoodlings isn't known, but, at all events, she married Bushell. This was a bit strong on the other girl, who at once sued her erst •lover for £11 15s arrears on the order. He appealed at Court, and had the' unutterable gall to say that he couldn't pay anything as he was now married, and he had no coin. The Bench seemed to have a very limited idea of the fellow, and ordered him to pay the arrears oft at the rate of £-.-« hnh a week;
