Seddon attracted a deal of gapeseed at Flemiington last Saturday, says a Melbourne sporting writer, ana the general verdict was that he was a very promising colt. He is a tall, well-frown, reaohy horse, somewhat straight m front, rather peacoclcy, wilh "a considerable' amount of daylight under him, and a -good deal after the style of bis brother, Wairiki. Speed rather than stamina may prove to be his forte ; but really little idea could be gathered about his ability last Saturday. He was green, and was not well placed for the first half of the Three and Four Year Old Handicap, but when he did get out clear, all too late, m the straight, he put m good work and finished third. The race should do him goof' ; and at present wo shall label him as bein^- likely to play a prominent part m the Caulfield Guineas^
