THE GAUMONT CHRONOPHONE.

The - Stonham-Morrisbii Company,, which opens m the Town Hall to-; night,- promise ebmething absolutely novel- m the way of living picture: and ' gramaphone shows. The chrono; phone is a combination of the cinematograph, phonograph and several other graphs: The living picWe is. thrown upon tlie screen just as m the ordinary cinematograph, but with this' latest marvel of science, which the Frenchman Gaumont brought to light, every movement is accompanied- by an exact reproduction of the accompanying sounds. The films (bearing / the pictures) -and the records (containing the sound) work m such perfect harmony that even the heaving of the breast may be noticed as a sin-ger takes a top note. It is claimed that the chronograph is as far advanced] from the cinematograph as that one- ! time marvel is from the old magic lantern. Amongst some of the song pictures to be placed upon the screen to-night are, "Let me like a Soldier,'
