LICENSING COMMITTEE
APPROVAL OF TRANSFERS The quarterly meeting of the Wellington Licensing Committee was held yesterday, the chairman, Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., presiding. There wore also present: Messrs ,1. W. Ellison, F. Meadowcroft, I. W. Clark, and M. A. Carr. The following transfers were approved: Shamrock Hotel, from A. H. Lees to Thomas Moran; Clarendon Hotel, from A. D. Rains to F. C, Pracy; Cricketers’ Arms Hotel, from W. H. Richards to Joseph Quinn; Duke of lsdinburgh Hotel, from.R. A. Evenson to S. J. Whiteford; Barrett’s Hotel, from A. J. Munro to R. Fairweather. Permission was granted the licensees of both the Grand and the Cricketers’ Arms Hotels to carry out minor structural alterations to their premises. The executors of the will of tho late T. W. Young were given permission to carry on business as wholesalers.
