Tho Roman Catholic Relief Bill, “a measure of justice to remove long standing trivial disabilities,” was parsed by tho House of Commons without division. The prohibit ions thus removed are mostly of ancient origin, and include that of exorcising a Roman Catholic rite or ceremony outsido a placo of worship or private house; appearing in public in the habit of an order: officiating as a priest, in any place of worship with a bcl! steeple; keeping books on Roman Catholic ritual; giving property to an abbey or convent; making a trust for the benefit of a Roman Catholic orders: and entrance to monastic orders in Kngland. The Bill lias yet to House of Lords. Ix>rd Halifax, the lender of tho Fnglish High Church party, says: *‘l am very pleased about it.”
