SEVEN YEARS’ IMPRISONMENT SENTENCES AT CHRISTCHURCH. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHI RCH, December 4. 11l tire_ Supreme Court, Leonard bright, 37, who had admitted an offence of breaking, entering, and theft, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment with hard labour. ‘H would be glad to send him back to Germany,” said Air Justice Stringer, of Rudolph Kreft, a young German, who was convicted of breaking, entering, theft, and arson at Kaiapoi. Kreft had been associated with Albert Henry Gordon in burglaries, Kreft also committing arson. Gordon was admitted to probation for two years, while Kreft was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment. James Henry Davcy (23). for breaking and entering, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment. Roy Mills, a postal messenger, for theft from a mail bag, was admitted to probation for three years and ordered to pay costs and make restitution of £8 los within a month.
