BEETHOVEN’S OPERA
“THE RUINS OF ATHENS.” Many music lovers had the opportunity last year to hear the music from the score of the “Magis Flute” (Mozart!, and Act 11. from ‘JI Trovatore,” and many have been disappointed not to be able to see those two magnificent productions given by Signor L. Cesaroni and his students. This year’s attraction will surpass anything given before, as Signor Cesaroni lias selected Beethoven's famous opera, “The Rnins ol Athene,” in costume. Wellington will be the first citv of tho British Colonies to hear this stupendous work, as the first and only London production was on March stli, 1846, conducted by Mendelssohn himself. Box plan now open at the Bristol.
