COLD AIR JOURNEY

COBHAM “ALMOST FROZEN’’ REST IN PHILADELPHIA. Australian and N.Z Cable Association. PHILADELPHIA, December 2. Sir Alan and Lady Cobham, who are flying from New York to Washington in a Moth airplane, stopped at Philadelphia overnight. They experienced extreme cold and heavy winds throughout their flight. Sir Alan said: “We were almost frozen. It was one of the coldest flights I have ever made.” Both gratefully accepted offers of warmer flying clothing from naval aviators. They expect to proceed to Washington on Friday.
