FIRE BOARD

HARBOUR AGREEMENT Those present at the meeting of the Wellington Fire Board yesterday were tho Mayor (Mr C. J. B. Norwood), in tho chair; Councillors M. F. Ducki© and H. D. Bennett, Mr D. E. Wilkie, Mr Marcus Marks, Superintendent Creeke, and Mr A. Fairchild (secretary). The secretary reported that he and the superintendent had consulted with the Wellington Harbour Board in reference to a new agreement in place of the one with the City Council. The document was being prepared, and would include tho tug Toia. The superintendent was authorised to make a report on the Eastbourne Borough Council fire escapes. The report- upon the staffing was received, the superintendent stating that the number was sufficient now, but if they bad a new fire station another fire men would be required.
