ODDFELLOWSHIP
THIRD 81-ANNUAL CONFERENCE The third bi-annual meeting of delegates of the Grand United Order of Oddfellows took place at Wellington recently. Delegatee were present from various parts of the Dominion. The report presented by the secretary showed the society to be making great headway. A steady increase in members had been maintained throughout the last two years. The various funds of the Order were als-o in a flourishing condition. In the evening tho delegates were tendered a social evening at the Newtown Alpha Branch Lodge room. The Worthy Grand Master Bro. W. N. Bain installed the following officers at this function Bros. L. Ponder, grand master (Wellington) ; <_\ S. Hogan, deputy-grand master (Auckland); 11. J. Sutherland, grand secretary (Petone); J. J. Heppleston, grand trustee (Wellington); W. N. \V. Bain, P.G.M., gTand trustee <Petono); J. S. Boxall. grand trustee (Wellington); L. L Martin, grand director (Petone); J. L. Bulcock, grand director (Auckland); A. Hooper, grand director (Wellington); H. C Cucksey, grand director (Auckland); M. Holdsworth, grand director (Auckland); Sister V. Veitch, grand director (Petone).
