HATAITAI SCHOOL
PRESENTATION TO MR A. A. KIRK On Wednesday the Orphens Club at Hataitai School, comprising the senior classes, gave a musical evening to parents, giving a programme of songs and lecturettes. At the conclusion refreshments were served, and the occasion was taken by the children of standards IV., V., and VI. to make a surprise presentation to Mr A. A. Kirk, assistant master, in appreciation of his interests in the scholars outside of the school work, including sports, tramping and the musical society. The presentation took the form of a silver mounted/ baton, inscribed, and a book of songs. The gifts were presented by Joan Wallace and Harold Cathie. Mr Kirk suitably acknowledged the gift, which he quite as a surprise to him. *
