ATTACKED BY MOORS
FRENCH AIRMEN’S ORDEAL TWO MEN KILLED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. PARIS, November 30. A tragic story of the flight of two French airplanes from Dakar is reported from Casablanca. The airmen, Gourt and Lasallo, flew in separate airplanes, and were accompanied by Moorish interpreters and a mechanic, Pintado. Gourt made a forced landing in unsubdued Spanish territory, and Lasalle descended to assist him. Tho Moors fired, killing Lasalle and Pintado, and rendering Gourt unconscious. An interpreter reached Cape Jnby. and from there the aviators Ville and Mermozo started to rescue Gourt. Ville was forced to land owing to lack of petrol. And the Moots attacked Mcrmoze, who swooped down and picked up Ville in the nick of time. Later he found the burnt debris of the airplanes. Gourt reached n Spanish outpost.
