KENWORTHY HOLDS HIS SEAT
AFTER JOINING LABOUR PARTY MAJORITY INCREASED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, November 30. The Central Hull by-election, necessitated by the resignation of Lieuten-ant-Commander Kenworthy, who recently joined the Labour Party, resulted in his re-election as a Labour member. The result was as follows: J. M. Kenworthy (Lab.) - 16,145 E. L. Gaunt (Con.) 11,466 Kerr (Lib.) 2.885 Lieutenant - Commander Kenworthy was formerly a Liberal member, but recently he joined the Labour Party, and resigned his seat to re-contest Hull Central in the interests of Labour. The Dolling at the general election was as follows: Lieutenant - Commander Kenworthy (Lib.) 15.234 Lieutenant-Commander E. L. Gaunt (Con.) 12.904
