Charged with attempting to break and enter by day the premises of the New Zealand Farmers’ Distributing Company on the Hutt road, with intent to commit the crime of theft, Thomas O’Hara ? a Jaboui'er, aged 33, was remanded till December Bth. CIVIL LIST Judgment for the plaintiff by default was given by Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., at tho Magistrate’s Court yesterday in the following 'undefended civil cases; Jack Jacobus v. R. BY-LAW BREACHES Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., presided over the By-law Court yesterday afternoon. Leaving their cars unattended cost James David Martin Mclntyre 10s, , John Ellison 10s, William Ernest Johnson 10s. Stanley W. Bradley was fined 10s for having no lights on his. car. On a similar charge Frank Robinson was , also fined 10s. George V. N. V. Sareich was fined £1 for not having a front number plate on his motor-cycle. The following fines were imposed for speeding:—William Ferguson £1 and £2, Cyril Dentice' £1 (on each of two charges), Leslie McCabe £2, Thomas Ash £1 (on each of two charges), and Wilbert Dave McGill Nutt £2. The Nash Motors, Ltd. were fined £3 for using a car not bearing assigned number plates. Failing to keep to the left cost Arthur Johnson £l, Thomas Brash £l, Henry Coombo £l. For failing to notify the cluuigo of ownership' of a motor-car, Emily Kate Ahlerson was fined 10s. For driving in a dangerous manner, Bercsford Lav.iti was fined £2.
