CAR FALLS INTO HARBOUR
INCIDENT AT AUCKLAND OWNER HAS LUCKY ESCAPE. Per Preas Association. AUCKLAND, November 30. A motor-car, its owner and drivci W. S. H. Ringer, of Hamilton, fell in to the Auckland harbour shortly be fore midnight on Sunday after Hinge; had driven a friend to the steamer Herekino. When the car was being turned before leaving it backed down a steeji incline user! for hauling dinghies on to the wharf, and the car and driver were precipitated into the water, and the car sank to the bottom of the harbour. Ringer had to break a side curtain to get out of the car, and he then swam ashore. The car was lifted yesterday by the board’s crane.
