CONSERVATIVES HOLD SEAT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, November 26. The by-election in Howdcnshire, necessitated by the appointment of tho Hon. F .S. Jackson as Governor of Bengal, resulted: Carver (Conservative) 10,653 Lin field (Liberal) 0.603 Kncwshaw (Labour) 2.31 S At- the general election the Hon. F. $. Jnrksou was elected unopposed.
