SPORTS MEETING
TO BE HELD TO-NIGHT LIST OF EVENTS. Owing to the fact that the terrible weather on Saturday made it impossible for any outdoor sports to be held, the W.A.A.C.’s sports meeting has been postponed until tbis evening. It will commence at 5.30 p.m., at the Basin Reserve. The Gisborne ladies have decided to remain in Wellington for the meeting, and will be se*n competing against the Wellington crack team, consisting of Misses Mantan, Porter, Stevenson, and Swinburne. The following is the list of events (twenty) and times cf starting: 100yds Junior Handicap. 5.30, 100yds Handicap (heats). 5.33; Boys’ Motor Tyre Race- 5.37 ; Ladies’ Relay, 5.42; One-mile Cycle Handicap, 5.47; 100yds Handicap (final), 5.52; 100yds Girls’ Race, 5.53; Boys’ Cycle Race,5.54; presentation of Eteneyeaux Cup, 6; One-mile Handicap. 6.10; lOOydfi Club Race (heats). 6.15; SSOyds Veterans’ Walk, 6.20; 100yds Ladies 1 Championship, 6.25; Boyk' Race, 220yds, 6.30; 100yds Club Handicap (final), G. 35; 100yds Girls’ Skipping Race, 6.37; Throwing Javelin, 0.40: 75yds Ladies’ Handicap, 6.40; 440yds Haudicap, 6 45: 75yds Ladies’ Handicap (final), 6.50.
