OLD BACHELOR’S HOARD Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. November 26. Recently the sum of £1470 was found in an old shed and in a hut on the property of Steven Fenwick, an old bachelor of Prcbbleton. Tho discovery was made by a young man named Middleton, who lives nearhv. While he was dismantling an old shod on Mr Fenwick’s property Middleton came on a drain pipe. He gave it a tan, and somo silver began to trickle out. There were also lot* of banknotes in the pipe. When the hoard was counted it amounted to £I4OO. Later, a search was made in a hut on Mr Fenwick’s propertv, and a further £7O was found hidden in tin*. The owner had forgotten about the money.
