FATALLY INJURED

FALL FROM CLIFF PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE. Per Press Association. TAUMARUNUI, November 26. Yesterday, near Aukopae, about fifteen miles down the Wanganui river, Henry Roberts fell over a cliff and was fatally injured. Tho deceased was employed by the Public Works Department, and was engaged in cutting scrub preparatory to a road being formed. Roberts fell come seventy feet. A stretcher was made by bi 3 mates, and tho injured man was carried over rough country for five miles, hut expired before medical attention arriv ed. At the inquest to-day a verdict of accidental death was returned.
