A great wave of mud is flowing near Belvedere and Roquebilliere, in the Alpes Maritimes, and near the baths of Bertliemont with their sulphur springs. ’ • The combined papulations, numbering 3500, evacuated the towns after malting desperate efforts ta stem the flow of the mud. Beneath Belvedere a great crevice has opened. Inhabitants of smaller villages are preparing to evacuate them. The roads have been obliterated.
