The week’s wool sales closed with a hardening tendency for all fleece wools of fine quality, and demand ruling strong, from all quarters. Strong quality and faulty continued irregular. Greasy merino sold to 31d. MELBOURNE HIDES SALE (Received November 25, 11.35 p.m.) MELBOURNE, November 25. The hides market was irregular. Values declined 10s. AUSTRALIAN WHEAT INDUSTRY By Telegraph —Press Assn.—Copyright. SVINNIPEG. November 24. Mr George W Robertson, secretary of the Saskatchewan wheat pool, interviewed on his return from Australia, said he was impressed by two facts. Australia was increasing her wheat production, and was definitely progressing toward the establishment of a pool. The latter would be facilitated by the non-existence of a grain exchange. CUSTOMS REVENUE The Customs revenue received at the port of Wellington yesterday aggregated £4517.
