EMPEROR HADRIAN'S HEAD
Speaking at a recent meeting of the Society ior the promotion of Roman Studies, the president, Dr. George Macdonald, referred to the colossal head of the Emperor Hadrian, found in tho Thames, near London Bridge, in This must have formed part of a statue which stood in some part of Roman London. Dr. Macdonald hazarded the suggestion that the statue was a memento of a visit which is known that the Emperor paid to London. This head is to he seen in the British Museum,
