George Nathan and Co. submitted to public auction yesterday afternoon, under instructions from the trustee in the estate of the late Joshua Charles worth, the properties in the estate. 'The first property offered was a vacant building site in Railway avenue, Upper Hutt, having a frontage of 66 it by a depth of 100 ft. Charleswortli’s home, situated Wallaccville, comprising 47 acres with residence and out-buildings. Bidding started at £3500 and rose to £4250. an<! as the reserve was not reached was passed in. The vacant sections in Lane’s lam*. Wallaceville. were then offered, and were passed in as the reserves were not reached. The firm then submitted a vacant leasehold section in Oriental Bay. Bidding started at £250 and rose to £4OO, at which price it was sold to Mrs A. Stamford. The last property offered was a block with a frontage of 100 ft to Tory street and 80ft to Alma lane. Bidding started at £4OOO and rose to £5250, and ns the reserve was not reached it was passed in, and the unsold properties are now in the hands of the auctioneers for private sale.
