Two reports have been received in Mexico City of discoveries of ancient buried cities. The first of these, a Maj'a city, was found near the village of Santa Elean, in the State of Chiatas, by a Government scientific party; and the other is said to have been discovered on a ranch near Juxtlahucca, in. the State of Guerrero. Jose Aguilera, one of Mexico’s foremost geologists, is doubtful if the Juxtlaniicca caves will reveal ar, ancient buried city, while various wellknown men of science here have reserved the final judgment until a scientific expedition, which is being planned, can investigate the cave and present competent evidence.
