KING’S THEATRE

"HIS SECRETARY.”Hobart Henley, who directed "His Secretary,” the chief picture on the present programme screening at the King’s Theatre, has treated a modern version of the Ugly Duckling fable wth sophistication and subtlety, and has made one of the year’s most engaging light comedies from a story that depicts the romance of a business girl. The combination of Hobert Henley as director and Norma Shearer as star, with Lew Cody in the leading male role, is proving irresistible. There is an excellent supporting programme, together with delightful incidental music by the King’s Select Orchestra. TO-MORROW NIGHT Charles Eugene Jules Marie Nungesser—that is the name on the French war records, where he is written down for posterity as an "incomparable pilot of pursuit, with exceptional ability and wonderful bravery.” Captain Nungesser appears to-morrow night in "The Sky. Raider,” in which he is featured with Jacqueline Log«an, with a large cast in support. "The Sky Raider” combines romance and thrills in a modern drama of the air. Captain Nungesser plays the role of himself, the French aviator who brought down one hundred and five ’planes during the war. in a picture that is packed with action and thrills. A second star picture is provided iu the Metro-Goldwyn comcdv thrill, "Don’t,” featuring Sally O'Neil. Fans will like and understand this story. A pretty modern girl rebels against her parents* foolish strictness and runs away with her sweetheart. And she doesn’t come back home, either. But oh! the fun and thrills she gets in reaching her happiness.
