ROTORUA BEATEN

CANDID NEW ZEALANDER There is at least one New Zealander who has seen something to beat Rotorua. His name is Ultan F. McCabe, and he is a well-known stock-broker of Wellington. Just back from a trip to the States, Mr McCabe is large-minded enough to admit that he thinks the Yellowstone'Park is a finer spot than our own thermal regions. He speaks in glowing terms of the Emerald Pool, the Morning Glory Pool, the Washing Pool and Old Faithful, the geyser which is claimed to have been playing for at least a million years. Punctually every 65 minutes Old Faithful spouts and one can set a watch by it. Not least impressive Mr McCabe found the American methods of handling tourists. Three thousand people a day went through the park last year, and the management handled between 300,000 and 400,0Q0 pieces of luggage and lost one piece.
