A very attractive programme was drawn up for the next annual rifle meeting to be held at Trentham on Saturday, January Ist, 1927, and every indication points'to a most successful' gathering. An optional aggregate has been included in the programme, scores in matches over 300, 600 and 900 yards to count. This is a popular innovation, ahd will appeal to the competitors. The decision of the executive to confine this year’s meeting to one day has met with universal approval, and is, without doubt, a step in the right direction. Lieut. P. Barcham will be chief range officer. VICTORIA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE CLUB The Victoria College team shot over four ranges last Saturday—2oo, 300, 500, and 600 yards. The usual programme was not followed, as practice was needed for the Imperial Universities’ Competition, which has to be shot next Saturday. The trophy in this competition was won last year by Victoria College, who beat Sydney University by two points The results of Saturday’s shoot were very satisfactory, and if the team can produce the same result next Satur-
day the chances of the college retaining the trophv will be good. The conditions on Saturday were excellent for shooting. The following are the detailed results: Rifleman.
