HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION
ANCIENT ORDER OF FORESTERS A movement to form an hospital association for the Ancient Order of Foresters was started by Brother L. Inkster, Court Loyal, Northland, who convened a meeting of delegates from the city and suburban courts for that purpose.
The object; in view is to create an organisation to enable members of the A.O.F. to pay in a sum of 10s per year to a central fund, which entitles a member, his wife and. family up to 12 years to attend the public hospital without direct payment, the association paying to the Hospital Board the necessary fees. Arrangements have been made for a reduction of 50 per cent, on fees for all indoor patients.' Last week a further meeting was held by the delegates, and the following officers were elected : —President, Brother L. Inkster; . vice-president, Brother R. M. Russell; secretary, Brother Shapcott; treasurer, Brother R» M. Russell; . trustees. Brothers Worth and Cappe, Sister. Lawton; auditor, Brother T. Mark.
A committee consisting of one delegate from each court to formulate rules was elected. It is anticipated that the association will commence operations in the New Year.
