ROSE SHOW

TOWN HALL TO-DAY The Rose .Show to be held in the Town Hall to-day promises to lie-the beet yet held. Record entries have been received. Not only have we tho local and Lower Hiitt growers; entries have been received from as far as Napier. This year the queen of flowers seem to have struck the show at their best, and visitors to the Town Hall to-day will see a show second to none in the Dominion. Reside the rose®, record entries have been received for pansis and violas, for the R. A. Nivhof trophy for 12 blooms no less than 12 entries have been received. The ladies’ decorative section alone will make the Town Hall worth a visit, the classes being well filled. For decorated tables 12 entries have been received. Tine will b aplsndid collection of tables of trade exhibits by the following: F VVestbujy, 'l'. Waugh and Son, and 11 I*oolo, of bower Hutt,; Kvnns and Sawyer, u£ -Miiuakau; A, AftllSiMn. .of

Napier. There will also be a large display of roses from the Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Afternoon tea will bo dispensed by tlie ladies of the Boeiety. A first-class orchestra has been engaged. Tho Show will be opened by His Worship the Mayor. The show will be opened from 8 p.m. until 9.30, when there will be a sale of biooiua ~
