L. GAGON SUCCESSFUL. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, November 21. A Taranaki boy. L. Gnrgon. of Kanonga. won the. 25-mile- cycling road race yesterday wjth two other New Plymouth hoys, C. Aroa and N. Bellringer second and third. In the Wanganui Professional Club's big event, the North Island championship was won by McCann, who rode from scratch and covered the distinre in l hour 9 minutes. McCann is only 17 years of ago. and scored junior road ohamm'onship honours in addition. T.. Gorgon's time was 1 hour 12 minutes 30 seconds: Aron’s time 1 hour II minutes 3fl 1-5 seconds; Bellringer's 1 hour 11 minutes 39 2-5 seconds. Only lia'f a wheel separated the first and second men.
