CAUTION ON HILLS
ASCENDING AND DESCENDING. Care should be exercised in surmounting a steep rise, where it is impossible to see the road on the other side of the summit. The driver should keep well to his left, and approach the crown of the hill sloivlj’. Jt is always necessary to keep an open eye for children on the road, especially when they are leaving school in high spirits and rush about regardless of what traffic there may be. If, when descending a bill, a car is coming up, and there is any question of ineeedence, the ascending car should bo given the benefit. The suggestion lias not tho same importance as it had some years ago, when the ascent, of a steep hill was a matter of some difficulty and perhaps trepidation for the driver.
