SPAIN TO ARGENTINA AIRSHIPS TO BE SUBSIDISED. Australian and N Z. Cable Association. MADRID, November 18. The Ministry has approved the creation of a company to conduct a weekly airship service to the Argentina from Seville, where an airport will be created at a cost of £1,250,000.' Three airships will be purchased, and will cost £BOO,OOO apiece, and will carry 40 passengers, 40 of a crew, and 16 tons of baggage. The Government voted £22,000, and agreed to subsidise the service at a maximum rate of £240,000 annually for five years, after which the airport becomes the Government’s property.
