AMERICAN CEPAiR TIMBER NOT TO BE USED IN BUILDINGS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, November 18. The statement that American cedar timber was being admitted to New Zealand riddled by the borer insect and otherwise of inferior quality was made by Mr F. E. N. Gaudiu at a meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council last evening. _ The council Sassed a resolution directing that a y-law should be framed prohibiting the use of cedar and Oregon pine timber in the Takapuna build 'p ; ;s.
