TIMBER WORKER INJURED

CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION In tho Supreme Court yesterday, his Honour the Chief Justice was asked to assess the amount of damages which should be awarded to Patrick Brick, a timber worker, who had suoceeded, before his Honour Mr Justice Reed, in establishing negligence in an action against the Stewart Timber, Glass, and Hardware Company, Limited. The claim arose opt of an accident on June I7th, 1925. when Brick was injured by falling logs when a eling broke. Evidence was given yesterday for the plaintiff by Dr. W. S. Robertson, Sir Donald McGavin, and Dr. H. C. Faulke, and on behalf of the defendant company by Dr. E. W. Qiesen. His Honour said he would consider the matter and deliver judgment this morning.
