OUSTING A GOVERNOR
WILL LABOUR PREMIER TRY? INTENSE INTEREST IN SYDNEY OPPOSITION ORGANISED Bv Telegraph.—Pre=s Assn. —Copyright. SYDNEY, November 17. There is intense interest in Mr Lang’s next move over the State Governor question. A strong movement is on foot, supported by public bodies and the majority of the newspapers, against any change being made without securing a mandate from the people. COLONIAL OFFICE HAS NO NEWS LONDON, November 16. The Colonial Office has not been apprised of the developments in the New South Wajes Governorship controversy. Since Mr E. A. McTiernan, the New South Wales Attorney-General, was personally told that it was a matter between the Ministry and the Governor, in which the Colonial Office could not intervene, the position has remained unchanged. The demand for Sir Dudley de Chair’s recall is not considered seriously.
