SUICIDE AT PETONE

MAN CUTS HIS THROAT WIFE DISCOVERS BODY. Archibald Mclnnes, a married man, residing at 337, Jackson street, Petone, cut his throat with a razor yesterday morning. Mclnnes, who was 37 years of age, arrived in the Dominion from England about six months ago. As the result of war injuries, he was suffering - from a nervous breakdown. After preparing breakfast, Mclnnes went into an outhouse and cut his throat. His wife discovered his body about an hour later. There are two children, aged ten and six years respectively. At the coroner’s inquiry heard before Mr E. Page, S.M., at Petono yesterday afternoon, the coroner returned a finding of suicide while in a state of mental depression.
