SMALL SURPLUS LAST YEAR Bv Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. HOBART, November 17. In the Tasmanian Assembly, the Premier, Mr J. Lyons, in his Budget speech, said the surplus on the year’s transactions was £28,221. The accumulated deficit at June 30th was £394,551. The revenue for the current year was estimated at £2,885,620, and the expenditure at £2,863,537. Relief amounting to £139,800, by way of income, land and liquor taxes, would bo given to the ratepayers.
