STEAMER PIRATED
OUTRAGE NEAR HONGKONG WARSHIP SETS OFF IN PURSUIT ONE BOATLOAD CAPTURED (Sydney "Sun" Cable.) PEKING, November 16. When the British steamer Sunning was hound from Shanghai for Hongkong, pirates disguised as passengers, endeavoured to gain control between Amoy and Hongkong. Determined resistance resulted in tlieir setting the ship on fire, wounding an officer, and taking two Europeans away. The warship Bluebell was ' standing by, but had great difficulty in giving assistance on account of the high seas. The latest wireless reports state that the Bluebell captured a boatload of pirates and is searching for the Europeans. It is understood that the flames were subdued.
