KNOCKED DOWN BY LORRY

YOUNG WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED Miss Mary Newell, of 1, Austin street, suffered severe internal injuries as the result of being run over by a motor-lorry near Lambton quay early yesterday morning. It appears that Miss Newell, who is about twenty-five years of age, alighted from a tramcar, and was struck by the lorry, which passed over her chest. Upon inquiry last evening it was ascertained that her condition was serious.
