GASSED KITTEN’S LIFE SAVED

A policeman’s skill in applying artificial respiration saved the life of a kitten in .Blackburn recently. Alarmed by gas coming from a shop, the policeman called for assistance and an entrance was forced. The shop was full of gas, and in it was the kitten, apparently unconscious. For ten minutes the policeman tried all he knew in the way of artificial respiration. Then pussy recovered, showed its appreciation hy rubbing against its rescuer’s legs, and .scampered away.
