The concert given bv members of the Constable street Church, known as the Frivolities, tinder the leadership of Sirs Bothwell. at the Sailors’ Friend Society, was in everv wav a success, there being many encores. The performers were Mrs Painter, the Misses I. Wrigley. Thera Butters Painter. S. Beere. A. Murray,, and Messrs C. Gnunt, Painter. Smith, and H. Painter. Miss Thelma Butters was at the piano. “Can You Prove It?” was the title of Mr James Moore’s temperance address. Pledges were freciy added to the books. The competitions aroused much interest. The prises came fr6m Mrs W. Flanagan, ami wont to the men m pert.
