A TRAVELLING WIRELESS
Captain Leonard Plugge reached Paris on September «ith on the completion of a tour of Europe in a 12cylinder motor-car fitted with a powerful wireless receiving set with nine valves, a frame aerial, and a loud speaker, hy which he was able to “listen-in” while travelling at the rate of 50 miles an hour. At places in the Balkans crowds gathered round the car to listen to the chiming of Big Ben and the music of the Savoy Hotel band.
