CONSIDERABLE DECREASE IN FIGURES The following is the bulletin of infectious diseases for the week ending November, 1926. The previous week’s figures are given in parentheses. There is a great falling-off in the number of cases, although scarlet fever and diphtheria are still prevalent. Taranaki - Horowlienua 11 (20). — Scarlet fever 1 (2), diphtheria 3 (6), enteric fever 2 (2), tuberculosis 2 (2), erysipelas 1 (2), pneumonia 2 (5), letli. encephalitis 0 (1). Wairarapa-East Cape 18 (18). —Scarlet fever 4 (4), diphtheria 6 (5). enteric fever 5. (3), tuberculosis 2 (2), pneumonia 1 (1), erysipelas 0 (1), puerperal fever 0 (2). Central Wellington 17 (23). —Scarlet fever 6 (11), diphtheria 3 (4), tuberculosis 1 (3). erysipelas 2 (1), pneumonia 1 (0), leth. encephalitis 3 (0), cerebro spinal menin. 1 (0). poliomyelitis 0 (1), puerperal fever 0 (1), septio abortion 0 (2). Nelson-Marlborough 2 (3). —Diphtheria 2 (2), puerperal fever 0 (1). Total 48 (64).
