The Empire Marketing Board has offered £2OOO for five years’ research by the CAw.thfep- Institute into New Zealand noxious weeds, especially blackberry. The offer is conditional on an annual contribution of £IOOO each by the New Zealand Government and Cawtllron Institute. The offer : h«s Mreen accepted conditionally on the work being carried out by Professor Tillyard. and conducted under the approval of the New Zealand Scientific Council. The bonrd bAh further offered #2OOO annually for two years’ research in connection with the mineral contents of pastures, the experiments to be conducted bn the New Zealand Government and Cawthrou Institute, subject to contributions as above. This is under discussion.
