MAGISTRATE’S COURT
Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M.. dealt with police and summons cases in the Magistrate’s Court, as under: Claude Paget, alias Charles Parker, a labourer aged 45, for a second offence of drunkenness, was fined 10s. Peter Grasis, a Russian, aged 47. who pleaded guilty to being found in a helpless condition of drunkenness, was convicted and ordered to pav £3 17s 6d expenses incurred, in default seven days’ imprisonment. George Reginald Malden Hare, convicted of negligently riding a horse in Happy Valley road on Labour Dav. was fined £3 and costs. His Worship nllcwed, a fortnight in which to pay the fine. Robert Mack and Gilbert Martin, two youtliß, pleaded guilty to a charge of committing wilful mischief bv damaging a gate, notice board and trees to the extent of £5, the property of the City Council. The magistrate convicted the youths, and ordered each to pav £1 13s 4d towards making good the damage.
