LABOUR PARTY’S VIEWS. . . \ At a recent meeting of the Wellington Central branch ef the New Zealand Labour Party, the following resolution was unanimously carried: “That'this branch of the Labour Party thanks Councillor R. Semple for his prompt action in exposing the projected scheme to drive a road through the Botanical Gardens, at this time one of the finest pieces of native hush scenery in the vicinity of Wellington ; nnd, further, that the branch, on behalf of the working people and the citizens in general, expresses appreciation of the work done on the C'tv Council by Messrs R. Semple. J. Glo. rer, and R. Me.Keen. M.P.”
