10,000 GUINEAS REFUSED
OFFER FOR COMMENDATION Prior to the running of the Stead Gold Cup at /iccarton on Saturday, Mr W- H. Gaisford, owner' of Commendation, refused an offer of 10,000 guineas for the Derby winner. Commendation did not win the Stead Cup, but he is a good one, and it is pleasing to know that, he is to be kept in New Zealand. Had he been sold he would have gone to Australia in company with Fool’s Paradise.
