CHRISTCHURCH, June IS. In reply to the Marlborough rosolubion regarding tlio South Island Main Trunk line, Mr H. J. Marnner. chairman of the railways committee of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, says the Canterbury Chamber is • very sympathetic with the undertaking, and considers it should be pushed through. “On every occasion wo shall be pleased to co-operate with the people in Blenheim and elsewhere. and we are pleased to see they have at last awakened to the fact that if they want tins line pushed through something more will he required than mere words; that it means hard work and the expenditure of a lot of money.'’
