BLOWN TO ATOMS
A COUNTRY TRAGEDY TERRIBLE DEATH OF WOMEN AND CHILD. EXPLOSION OF GELIGNITE. j 1 rk rn.F.ss association. TAUMARUNUI, June 15. Word of a frightful tragedy comes from Tatu, twenty-two miles beyond Ohura. From the meagre details to hand it appears that a charge of gelignite exploded in the house of Mr F. England, a farmer. Mrs England and a child were blown to* atoms. 'There is no trace of the child.
Miss Lilburn, sister-m-law_ of Mr England, was also killed, being blown through a wall. The police and a Justice of the Peace hare gone out-to hold an inquest. No further particulars arc to hand.
