INCREASED WAR BONUS
FOR TAILORESSES' UNION. ORDER FILED IN COURT. An order, dated June 11th. 1920, increasing the war bonus granted the Federated Tailor-esses' Union on March iSo'th la*... was filed in the Supreme Court yesterday. The previous order is cancelled by the Arbitration Court, and the following bonus increases are granted:— In the case of iourneywomen, a war bonua of os (instead of 2s) per week is added to the minimum wage of £1 los per week. / To male maohinists (minimum wage £3 13s 4d a week, or 1b 8d per hour) a bonus of 2id (instead or Id) per hour is granted. Cutters and examiners, in addition'to their minimum rate of £3 13s 4d a week or Is Sd an hour, are to receive a bonus of 2-Jd (instead of Id) per hour. Apprentices, who previously received no bonus, are granted a war bonus of 3s a week.
Instead of an all-round bonus of Id per hour, pressers, in addition to their wage of £3 13s 4di per .week, or Is 8d an hour, are to receive a bonus of 2}d an hour, and those working at log rates are to have a bonus of 6s per week.
Pressers' apprentices previously without bonus, are to receive a bonus of 3s per week.
